The Willow Tea Rooms, Glasgow.
Our Textile Travel Woolfest Rove begins on June 26, 2007 in Glasgow, Scotland. There we will spend two nights, exploring the city and its many connections to Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret MacDonald, pioneers of the Glasgow School of art and architecture during the turn of the 20th Century. We will enjoy afternoon tea at the Willow Tea Rooms, designed by Mackintosh in the Art Nouveau style, and explore the city's superb examples of Mackintosh's work, such as the Glasgow School of Art. A yarn tasting at a LYS in Glasgow is also on the menu.
